[1552 AD] p268 "1643 Apund Abirdene, 4 Jul
Preceptum Legitimationis JACOBI RECHERTSOUN, ROBERTI RECHERTSOUN, STEPHEANI RECHERTSOUN et JONETE RECHERTSOUN, bastardorum, filorum et filie natrualium dicti4 Magistri Roberti Rechertsoun, vicarii de Hecfund : in communi forma, etc. Per Signetum. xxv. 7."

Translation: At Aberdeen (Scotland), 4 July 1552 the legitimation of James, Robert, Stephen and Janet Richardson, of Minister Robert Richardson, signed Mary Queen of Scots. Privy Council entry 1643. The word "Magistri" is plural and has many meaning such as the man in charge, ..., ship's captain. Here I think it is used like the current day "Minister" as in the current UK government system, given his work for Her Majesty Royal.
