Carolyn Richardson McMurran remembers: "I don't recall a great deal about Howard except how pretty his wife was and how they loved to dance at Ocean City. Didn't they (or she?) teach ballroom dancing?

I remember her [Mary Jane] as a little girl with red hair and freckles. For a while Mary Summercamp encouraged a Christmas correspondence between Mary Jane and me. I think she was married and living in Wisconcin.

My father said that Howard sold snuff and recommended it as a fertilizer for roses. Daddy had some snuff in our garage for that purpose."
